Opening STEMM Career opportunities for Year 11 and 12 Students
Kia ora
My name is Brooke Turner and I am the Programme Manager for Innovative Young Minds. Innovative Young Minds (IYM) is a not for profit that wants to inspire a new generation of female innovators and industry leaders into the STEMM sector (science, technology, engineering, maths and high tech manufacturing). For more information about us visit our website https://www.iym.org.nz/.
We are offering IYM Online 2026 for young women in Years 11 and 12: Four half- day sessions delivered entirely online – limited to 100 places for students from throughout Aotearoa and the Pacific.
The programme exposes participants to eye-opening and inspiring speakers who work in the STEMM sector, sharing their career pathway and innovative work. They will also make lasting friendships with like-minded young women who share a passion for STEMM! Our programmes are only open to young women because females are underrepresented in the STEMM sector, and we want to change that.
We would love for you to share this opportunity for IYM online with your teacher base. I would be happy to organise an online meeting or phone call to talk about our programme and how we can link to your mahi.
Look forward to hearing from you.
